Call for Industrial Forums and Exhibitions (IF&E)


The 2014 IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC) will be held in the beautiful city of Sydney, Australia from 10-14 June 2014. The IEEE ICC 2014 will hold concurrent Industry Forums designed to deliver broad interest on "Work in Progress". The focus will be on regulatory impact assessments, current technologies, applications, design & development strategies, implementations and unique challenges in today’s networking and communications environment.

Invitation:

The Industry Forum & Exhibitions (IF&E) Committee invites you to submit a proposal for an industry forum, which could be a panel discussion, tutorial, hands-on workshop or practical educational session. Your proposal for a Forum session is a commitment to cover the specific topic of interest with 3-5 speakers, if accepted. You will be expected to identify an industry expert to lead each session.The duration of the sessions is expected to be from 90 to 120 minutes.

Submission:

Proposals should adhere to the following template
  • Title for the proposed forum session or presentation
  • Name, affiliation and email address of the leader/speaker
  • An abstract of the session or a presentation
  • Short biography of the leader/speaker
  • Names, affiliations, brief description of the speakers intended to invite.
Submit your proposals to the IF&E Committee via e-mail.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
  • Privacy and security
  • Health and well-being: Telehealth, wearable devices, body area networks
  • Internet traffic measurement, profile, topology and trends
  • Broadband and high speed networking - social impact and new services
  • Vehicle to vehicle/infrastructure communications
  • Mobile video delivery and trends
  • R&D transfer path from research to industry
  • Telepresence and new forms of interactive communications
  • Disaster recovery, telecommunications resilience
  • Future optical and wireless networks
  • Energy efficient (‘green’) communications systems
